All praise and gratitude is due to God Almighty as for His blessings we can all attend here at this venue in good health.

First of all, on behalf of the Government of Yogyakarta Special Region, I would like to welcome DR Hamad Al Kawari, the State Minister of Qatar, and all members of Qatari delegation to Yogyakarta. I would also like to welcome all of cyclists, both from Qatar and Indonesia, who on this occasion visit Yogyakarta in a series of CultuRide cycling activities. It is indeed an honor for us to be involved as a host of this event in the series of Qatar-Indonesia Year of Culture 2023.

I sincerely hope that this activity would help pave the way for the establishment of better and closer relations and cooperation between Qatar and Indonesia (including Yogyakarta) in various sectors, such as culture, tourism, trade, industry, and investment.

To all the cyclists, I wish you happy cycling. I hope that this experience can bring a positive impression for all of you about Indonesia, especially Yogyakarta.

Last but not least, to all parties involved, let us all ensure that the entire series of CultuRide Qatar-Indonesia Year of Culture 2023 can take place in a conducive, smooth, and successful manner, as is certainly our common hope.
